How do I clean a pink suede handbag?

Lolly asked: My favourite pink suede handbag is looking faded and generally grubby. Any suggestions on how best to clean it welcome. Tried dry cleaning shops but no one seems to clean suede. Tempted to shove it in washing machine but that's prob a really bad idea!Evelyn
